Book Note: William E. Butterworth IV, Covert Warriors

I read this book about 21-May-2014. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2012. This note was last modified Friday, 23-May-2014 23:04:28 PDT.

This is book 7 of the "Presidential Agent" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

As usual, the series don't hold coherency past the first 3 or 4 books. This one is long past that. But I read it via ebook from the library.

This time we've got a deranged president in the mix. At least they don't have an actual coup, they just assassinate the Russian agents surrounding the President taking advantage of it. The Vice President might have been involved, and that's not investigated.

The relationships between Castillo, Prevsner, and the "Barlows" make less and less sense, as they change rapidly with little basis. Max needs to eat a few characters I think, that would help straighten things out.

The book comes to a sudden, weak, end, rescuing the kidnapped colonel but really not going into much of the stuff that was set up.
