Book Note: David Cordingly, Under the Black Flag

This note does not contain major spoilers for the book.

Non-fiction, even. About pirates of course.

Lots of information both about real pirates and about how the canonical fictional representations developed, which is good. I ended up feeling that it was too much a summary, though, without enough analysis. The way he jumps from topic to topic, and abandons many of the more interesting topics just when they're getting, well, interesting, bothered me.
