Book Note: Peer Dickinson, The Yellow Room Conspiracy

I read this book about 27-Mar-2008. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 1994. This note was last modified Sunday, 27-Apr-2008 14:16:29 PDT.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

Historical, set during WWII in England, where some gentlefolk have their lives changed forever by the war. And the girls grow up to have to find a way to make a living.

Ancestral to Jo Walton's Farthing, and in fact we have this copy because Jo gave a pile of spare Dickinson to Pamela.

It's well written, and the characters are quite well drawn, and their development over the years is well done. It opens with the two narrators realizing they've each assumed the other committed a murder decades ago, and have been wondering how. But it's not mostly about that murder.
