Origin story for Liam's parents.

Her father was a marine sergeant, his mother was an assaultcraft pilot. They rescued each other when shot down on what should have been a routine "return home" flight.

And, it comes out in the next book, Liam doesn't even know his mother was in the military, or have any idea how they met, apparently. Clearly that family was working too hard!
