Book Note: Jo Walton, My Real Children

I read this book about 4/25/2013. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2013. This note was last modified Tuesday, 14-May-2013 13:14:42 PDT.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

Private reading of draft version. I liked it a lot, but won't talk about it much since it was a first draft, and may change significantly before publication. And yet there are spoilers here, too.

It's a two-branch alternate reality story (with neither branch being our current reality) told through a woman dealing with some variety of senile dementia, but apparently also swapping between two worlds, where both she and the world at large had significantly different lives, histories, families. As I said, I liked it a lot, I think it's quite powerful.
