James Maxwell Young

I always hate to do these.  Minn-StF Floundering Father Jim Young has died, after emergency surgery last Tuesday for a brain tumor.  He never regained consciousness.

I have collected a few of my photos of him over the years.

Memorial Day Visit

I don’t have any relatives buried anywhere nearby. I don’t actually know of any grave sites connected to my family, though I’m sure going back just a few generations will turn some up; unlikely to be any closer than 1500 miles, though.

But I finally got around to going out to Lakewood Cemetery today to see where they had put Gordy Dickson.

Gordon R. Dickson's memorial marker

For anybody else planning to visit, several of the tombstones used as landmarks on the map they give you have different names on the two sides; the one closest to Gordy, marked as McVicker on the map, reads as Domstrand if you’re going east.
