Book Note: Elizabeth Bear, Scardown

I read this book about 2-mar-2008. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2005. This note was last modified Monday, 19-May-2014 16:48:09 PDT.

This is book 2 of the "Jenny Casey" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

The second of Jennie Casey's story.

We have terrestrial, orbital, and interstellar intrigues, maybe (not really clear what the situation with the aliens is, but two fleets arrived from different directions, not exactly in sync), and the formation of a poly family, and characters trying to hold their lives at least vaguely together in a rather dystopian future. I read this sufficiently long after the first one that I probably missed connections and possibly important information given through them; though I don't feel as if I've missed something big.
