Book Note: Lois McMaster Bujold, Cetaganda (#2)

I read this book about 18-Jun-2007. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1996. This note was last modified Friday, 02-May-2014 23:46:25 PDT.

This is book 7 of the "Miles Vorkosigan" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

A quick and convenient reread. Still very good; better than its general reputation, from my perception of it.

I'm pleased to notice the embassy staff (I'm not now actually sure if it was the abassador or the Impsec chief) realizing that Miles' chain of command went direct to Ilyan, and that this showed he wasn't an ordinary courier. Miles still played them for all he was worth, of course. But I find it believable that Ilyan would run an operation in their area without telling them, if he thought he needed to.

I'm also very pleased to get some information about the rather mysterious Cetagandan empire, and their great experiment.
