People are still somewhat dissing this book, so I thought I'd better check again. Nope, still very nice really. I do see the objection to having Ekaterin perform all her magic off-stage. I'd like to see her really stretch herself, and I'm annoyed Lois decided not to show us that.

Fun to read again, anyway. I didn't realize this would be #3 already, but then it's been out a lot less long than many of the books I reread.
