Book Note: Lois McMaster Bujold, Komarr (#2)

I read this book about 6-Jan-2007. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1998. This note was last modified Friday, 02-May-2014 23:47:17 PDT.

This is book 9 of the "Miles Vorkosigan" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

Something in a discussion triggered by the phrase "your lunatic progenitor" got me thinking of the Miles books again, and I decided I needed to read the last three (the Imperial Auditor ones). Hmm; I guess he's a temporary auditor in the previous one as well. Anyway.

And then I couldn't find a copy of Komarr, so I had to go buy a new one. Paperback, at least. So I'll be hauling three paperbacks to California, which is convenient.

This remains a really fine book. If painful, with the first-rate portrayal of Ekaterin's relationship with Tien.

Tien has just succumbed to his double stupidity, and Miles is probably going to survive, and boy is Impsec going to be excited when he's rescued. Things will get really busy for a while there.

And all those things happened in good time, just like last time I read it. It was great fun.
