The Matter of Tombstone, taking into account that many of the major players were magicians of one sort or another.

In this version, it's clear that the magic used by everybody is the same; Chinese or American, anyway. The Native Americans don't actually make it into this story.

I found myself worrying as I neared the end that there wasn't time to wrap things up, and it might start a series. But it did not. While the ending felt a bit light to me, it wasn't severely incomplete.
