Book Note: W.E. Butterworth, Grand Prix Driver

I read this book about 28-Apr-2004. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 1969. This note was last modified Friday, 30-Apr-2004 14:56:33 PDT.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

Butterworth is the same person as W.E.B. Griffin (quite possibly his real name, even).

A juvenile, set in the racing field. A NASCAR driver decides to try to break into Grand Prix racing in Europe when his racing team in the states folds and his partner dies in a racing crash.

As usual, he encounters helpful and unhelpful people and a small number of bad people. The switch from stock cars to Grand Prix gives an opportunity to describe the differences in cars, courses, and so forth.
