I read this book about 12-Oct-2022. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 1989. This note was last modified Saturday, 17-Dec-2022 15:22:43 PST.
This is book 2 of the "Cole and Pike" series.
This note contains spoilers for the book.
Cole and his partner Pike look for a stolen Japanese historic document. Which turns out to get the yakuza involved.
Cole is a Disney fan; but it seems to just be a superficial tag.
He's also an amateur therapist, trying to help clients and other through their problems. That's an amusing take on the classic private investigator trope, and at least it gives him something to say to them when they're in distress, but I find it much less satisfying in the actual books than as an idea.
