I read this book about 3-Dec-2001. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 1993. This note was last modified Saturday, 03-May-2014 08:25:56 PDT.
This is book 2 of the "Privateersman" series.
This note does not contain major spoilers for the book.
Second of "The Privateersman Mysteries". The first one was fun. I notice that the publisher, McBooks Press (what an unfortunate choice of name!) seems to be trying to corner this market; they publish Alexander Kent and C. Northcote Parkinson and Dudley Pope and Captain Frederick Maryat, too.
This one was just as good as the first. Less sailing. Equally convoluted plot. A bit less sexual perversion. I like Harry and James Ludlow, and the relationship between them.
And I just checked on Amazon, and they say two more will be published 1-Apr-2002; no use for Christmas presents, but something to look forward to!
