Pleasant. Rather episodic. I like the environment and I like the characters. It's about a guy who's worked himself up from a very bad background (planet on the far fringes) to 3rd officer on the greatest starship passenger liner ever. It then follows most of his first tour around the circuit, which is an unusually adventurous one.

I enjoyed reading it a lot; lost sleep over it in fact.
