Book Note: W.E.B. Griffin, In Danger's Path

I read this book about 22-Dec-2001. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1998. This note was last modified Saturday, 03-May-2014 21:13:18 PDT.

This is book 8 of the "The Corps" series.

This note does not contain major spoilers for the book.

Book 8 in The Corps sequence. The Gobi Desert missions. Suddenly much thicker (724 pages).

This one stands out as the book with two soldiers who are in love with two women. One of the couples even talks about the Mormons and polygamy favorably. (The other guy hasn't let the women know; then again he ended up in the situation rather accidentally.)

The story of the Gobi desert mission is interesting—a weather station there is apparently important for the Navy and for future long-range Army Air Corps bombing missions. There are retired Marines and soldiers operating caravans out there (people who chose not to surrender to the Japanese in China).
