I read this book about 7-Sep-2002. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1989. This note was last modified Saturday, 03-May-2014 21:26:23 PDT.
This is the Special Operations in the police series, not the one in the Army series.
This is the book things seemed to me to really get rolling in. Inspector Wohl gets charge of a new Special Operations unit, and Matt Payne is assigned there, and he starts getting given the politically sensitive cases.
Again we have the appearance of a homosexual son of a rich father who's completely useless, all his lovers are there to rip him off, and so forth. Being homosexual seems to be portrayed as a great failing, a tragedy. Bah.
