I read this book about 6-Aug-2005. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1985. This note was last modified Saturday, 03-May-2014 21:19:13 PDT.
Published as by "Alex Baldwin"—and with a cover quote from Griffin! That quote identifies Griffin as "Author of the Bestselling Brotherhood of War Series", so I'm a bit confused as to why this was published as "Baldwin". I had previously thought that when Griffin finally hit the big-time he started publishing everything under that name. These have later been published as by Griffin, so I'm sure my attribution isn't just wrong. This is from a different publisher, that might be part of it.
I actually found these before the Brotherhood of War books, I stumbled on them at Uncle Edgar's as I recall.
Has all the Griffin hallmarks—rich people, young lust, airplanes. Seems a bit disjointed, but then he only really held it together once, for about 5 books of the Brotherhood of War series; everything else has been kind of disjointed too.
This is about the relatively early days of the OSS, mostly.
