Book Note: Thomas Harris, The Silence of the Lambs (#2)

I read this book about 12-12-2006. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1988. This note was last modified Monday, 05-May-2014 22:11:21 PDT.

This is book 2 of the "Hannibal Lector" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

Continuing preparation for the new Lecter book.

Lots of nice character definition; Starling in particular is well-developed. Crawford is pretty complex as well. And Chilton, the asshole idiot directing the bad state hospital. Overall, smoother than Red Dragon (#4).

Hannibal is too good, and too impulsive, and too smart, and lasted too long before being caught, though. But then all the "classifications" and theories given about him are suggested to be wrong anyway; he's not really an example of any class of disorder.
