I read this book about 2-Jan-2017. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2015. This note was last modified Friday, 13-Jan-2017 20:13:22 PST.
By James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge. Since all the Michael Bennett novels are with Ledwidge, I think of them as his.
So Bennett is an Irish New York Cop, with 10 kids. Not sure how he can possibly afford that, and he certainly doesn't have time to take care of them himself. (I think there's a dead wife in the past, and it looks like he's moving a new romance forward. And people think it's hard to date when you have one kid!)
Super-villain level antagonist is getting even for something or other. His ideas include EMP bombs (not nukes) that take out more than they should, magic firearms that don't work like real ones, and causing a landslide in Europe that will destroy the whole east coast with a tsunami. (After making this quite clear, we then proceed to completely ignore everything other than New York, including when talking about the inconceivable damage this man is willing to do.)
Wasn't very good, not thought through, etc.
