This one starts with Spenser going to get Pearl II.

Another book of delving into the past. This one for a high fee—six Krispy Kreme donuts. (I personally don't think they're that great.)

More mobsters, too. Kid of a mobster who also got involved in the 70s with the "Dread Scott Brigade" (spelling deliberate). And people who aren't who they think they are, and secrets the FBI is still trying to sit on, and so forth. Spenser is definitely having a retro run.
