Book Note: John Ringo, Unto the Breach

I read this book about 6-Oct-2008. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2006. This note was last modified Thursday, 09-Oct-2008 18:28:32 PDT.

Another Ghost book, about Mike Harmon. And the Keldara.

I'm kinda pleased to see books really glorifying the role of light infantry. Even if I do trace it back to Tom Clancy. I'm not nearly so pleased to see Ringo consistently pushing the idea that Islam is inherently incompatible with civilization. He bases it mainly on a few Koranic verses, and as we know, how "holy books" are really understood varies wildly. Using this sort of argument might actually lead one to think that Christianity was the religion of peace and love!

Less sex, and less interesting sex, in this book.
