Lucas now works as a Federal Marshall. He's reporting directly back to Washington, too, not working for the local boss.

He's off after a robber who's willing to shoot people. An assassin and a torturer are also after that robber, it turns out, representing a drug cartel that he ripped off. And friends and associates, including the guy who planned the robberies, gets drawn in.

They all die. The bad guys, I mean. Well, all but the girlfriend.

Lots of good investigative action, and two new characters, heavy hitters from the Marshall's Special Operations Group, who seem pretty interesting.

Lucas continues not to sleep with anybody but Weather. Possibly he's finding it easier, even.
