Note that this was published the same year as The Hobbit.
I'm not going to go through and describe everything, but a couple of unusual stories stayed in my mind.
This is a fascinating story about a playwright who may have killed the producer who made him rich but not literary by messing up a blood transfusion type-match. It's told in first person, but he's not exactly sure even himself whether he did it or not.
A very strange story about a many who may have contracted for a murder, with a group that seems to handle these things routinely, and which actually does handle it. And returns the self-incriminating letter he left them as security. All for what he feels is a reasonable price.
