Book Note: Rex Stout, The Final Deduction (#3)

I read this book about 23-Feb-2004. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1955. This note was last modified Tuesday, 24-Feb-2004 14:50:27 PST.

More fun this time than last time, anyway. Didn't realize I'd read it that often until I went to log it.

A nasty little tale of greed and selfishness, if you want to look at it that way. Wife and husband fake kidnapping for the tax deduction on the ransom they're going to pay (which probably wouldn't really be deductible), kill secretary who typed notes and such, and finally the wife kills the husband. Because he was going to leave her, because he couldn't tolerate the killing of the secretary. Really very nasty, ugly, low.
