I seem to have missed this book. A promotional copy of the next book reached me, and I had to dig this one up to fill in before I could read the next one. (Fill-in from the library, for the record.)

Making progress by actually being the good guys and caring about your allies is good of course. But slow and tortuous, and often tragic as people get killed off that you care about.
