Actually, one of the anthologies of stories in the Honorverse by various authors: Linda Evans, David Weber, Jane Lindskold, David Weber, Roland J. Green.

Some nice bits, going from quite early in the domestication of humanity (by the treecats, I mean), until late enough that we encounter Honor in an early deployment. It's very heavily focused on the treecat stories at first, and features two serious attempts to kill the reigning monarch or heir foiled by them. I somehow missed knowing this existed back when it says it was published.
