Book Note: Stuart Woods, Cold Paradise

I read this book about 21-Jul-2016. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2001. This note was last modified Saturday, 23-Jul-2016 14:36:28 PDT.

This is book 7 of the "Stone Barrington" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

This gets kind of complicated. Paul Manning and his wife turn up again, intersecting another case. A murderer from Minneapolis is dragged across the stage as a red herring (he looks enough like Paul Manning to prevent definite dis-identification for a while). Dolce Bianchi is in town. And Arrington Calder keeps dropping by.

At the end we get definite confirmation that Manning and his wife are still working together (Stone kind of fell for that last time they were around too).

Despite the Minneapolis connection, the title appears to be a reference to the weather in Palm Beach.

One of the better ones, I think. Lots of balls in the air, often doing interesting things.
