This is book 7 of the "Young Wizards" series.

Nita and Kit end up off on an exchange program (which Dairine applied for without permission, which got her restricted to the solar system). And Nita's father, and Dairine, get to host the visiting wizards, a centipede, a tree, and a sun king.

Nita and Kit go to a paradisical world that's been ready to go on to the next stage of their evolution for milennia, but can't, because they put too many protections around their choice. So K&N end up collaborating with the Lone Power to get that fixed.

And, back on Earth, Raushan notices that our sun is going to have terrible trouble, and despite not being able to get in touch with local wizards, they fix it (they get an authorization from the Galactic Arm coordinator, while they're preparing to the mission).

Just a normal, relaxing, few weeks of holiday for our wizards!
