The tenth of the Brother Cadfael novels. This one has a very nice misunderstood situation -- hate mistaken for love. Admittedly the one hated seems to play along rather too much for really easy suspension of disbelief.

As is normal in these books, there's a significant romance track, that comes to a satisfying conclusion.
