I read this book about 2-Dec-2006. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2006. This note was last modified Sunday, 17-Dec-2006 10:17:59 PST.
Another, I guess the third, in the Mike Harmon saga. Again, non-stfnal, non-fantasy; except for normal male fantasy anyway.
The title seems to be the traditional title of the Valkyries, but no association is established in the book. There are some female warriors involved.
Mike and his Keldara get involved in rescuing a girl from the sex slavers, and find a plot to blackmail US Senators (and lots of other high officials around the world). And blow things up and kill people.
I do think his Keldara women, and men, are far, far too quick to adapt to modern behavior, probably especially the women (who are the ones with the most to gain from it, yes, but still).
I also suspect he over-estimates the number of women who are interested in sexual submission (Harmon suggests a majority are). (Note: "interested in sexual submission" does not mean "wants to be a full-time slave", okay?)
