Volume 4 of the Baen books reissues, edited by Eric Flint.
I thought some of these had more going for them than most of the other stories. I particularly liked "Demon Breed". There's some very nice philosophical discussion of the tradeoffs between a society ideal for average citizens, and one that prospers and lasts.
Still an amazing number of strange species of plants with interesting properties that crop up for the first time just when needed, though.
