Some preliminary test pictures for the long-delayed fish photography project. These are Lydy's fish in the 30-gallon tank in the living room.
These were lit by just the fluorescent lights over the tank. I set the ISO in my Fuji S2 to 800, and used the Sigma 100mm macro lens. I mostly used continous auto-focus. More light is needed, both to get the shutter speed down and to allow a slower ISO to be used, but this demonstrates that the 100mm lens isn't hopelesslly the wrong length (I don't have much that focuses close and is auto-focus any shorter than 100mm).
