DD-B's Snapshots from 1969-70

Actually, these are of somewhat uncertain date. The ones from roll 35 are either very late 1969 or very early 1970. One of the shots contains honor roll information from the end of second quarter of 10th grade, which was the 1969-1970 school year for me. The ones from roll 51 are even more uncertain at the moment; but some of the pictures definitely appeared in the yearbook, so I should be able to nail down what school year they were pretty well.

Because these highschool pictures are not well documented, and I can date them mostly by reference to the highschool yearbooks, I'm filing them by school year instead of calendar year.

The immediate cause for scanning these was for our 30th reunion, coming up this summer (2002). That's also why some of them are so big -- sized for what I think the requirements of the Powerpoint presentation will be. Of course other things on rolls I looked at got snatched up while I was in the neighborhood....

It's amazing who I can, and cannot, recognize (or remember the names of). My apologies to anybody incorrectly identified, or any close friends whose names I can't now remember.

Biology field trip, Cannon river

Football game, fall of 1970 (11th grade for me/my class). I can't identify the opposing team. Player identifications (based on jersey numbers referenced to the team photo in the 1971 Norhian): 42 Either Fred Haas '72 or Mark Ditmanson '73 (heads block the second digit of the numbers in the team photo) (Reference to the 1972 Norhian shows Fred Haas wearing #42 that year) 12 Steve Hill '72 37 Douglas. Player identifications based on cross-referencing jersey numbers to the 1971 Norhian: 71 Dennis Miller '72 73 Kendall Bogue '72 (The number might be 72 instead, but the appearance on the arm leads me to prefer 73; and I don't find a 72 in the yearbook photo) 83 William Raadt '72 20 Glenn Frana '71

English class

Eve Webster's English class. I'm reasonably sure the back at the left is Dave Anderson. Then maybe Mark Hansen, and definitely Duane Schrader, and Amil Anderson.

Biology class

That'd be Eric Johnson's class, though he isn't in the photo. At the moment I'm ashamed to say I can only identify two people with any confidence. From the right, Cheryl Ramette, and Jerry Hurlbutt. Might the other two, from the left, be Vicki something and maybe Carolyn something? Boy, it's been a long time.
