I visited my parents in Northfield Thursday, and shot some
pictures. My aunt Miriam was in town as well.
The old Dyer-Bennet place
907 Winona Street, where my parents have lived since 1962. Most of that time it was white, but a few years ago it got painted a light but dirty green. This picture is unfortunately not lit well to show the actual color of the house (a mix of direct late sunlight and deep shadow).
John, Mary, and Sy
This is one of those frustrating ones, which makes me glad I split off the snapshot album. Sure would have been good if I'd had a 35mm lens instead of a 58mm lens on (or the wall had been further back). Sure would have been good if I'd set the exposure a stop or two higher (not so visible in this version, but that's why it's so grainy for example). Sure would have been nice if the next two (not shown), which were exposed better, had had better positioning and expressions on the subjects.
