Very fancy dinner at Vincent's. Bruce brought the wine.
Lighting conditions were amazingly poor for photography. I probably just
should have given up and stuck with flash, but it was an interesting challenge.
I've never before photographed a dinner where Nicollet Mall at night,
seen through the windows, was significantly brighter than the room I was
trying to photograph in.
And these were taken with the Fuji F11, not the DSLR. Nearly all at ISO 1600,
and it shows, but I'm still amazed I was able to get anything usable
without flash.
Bruce's birthday dinner. This is a good/bad example of sever Photoshop abuse; this photo was so underexposed as to be 2/3 black originally. This version doesn't look very good on its own, but still represents a drastic salvage effort. And it's the only picture of the people I had. Lee; Mel
