I'm not too happy with these photos in a number of ways, but I don't see how to address one of the major problems without equipment I don't have, so I'm going to let this go for a while and see what people say.
The colors, at least, ought to be pretty accurate; I had a gray card in the frame for each shot, or a full-frame gray card under identical lighting, that I used to balance each picture.
